Tired of being a fungal flunkie? Learn your wild mushrooms once and for all this winter, starting with this day-long workshop at Quail Hollow Ranch. Mushroom expert and soon-to-be-author Christian Schwarz, who has studied with David Arora himself, will lead this day-long workshop, which will include a talk, a guided foray to collect some mushrooms and a hands-on I.D. workshop, the better not to poison yourself. Sound good? Yup, we think so too. Several experts will be on hand to assist, including Mycota of Santa Cruz County co-creator Adam Ryszka. Class is limited to 40 people.
