The United States has 600 million acres of public lands. Celebrate that most excellent fact by visiting a National Park, National Forest, Fish and Wildlife Refuge or BLM land today, free of charge. Around here that means Pinnacles National Park, Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve, Fort Ord National Monument (and someday Coast Dairies) and Los Padres National Forest in Big Sur. Hm, feeling pretty lucky right about now.
