Help Amah Mutsun Land Trust to tend a Native Garden featuring cultural plants of the Quiroste Tribal area at Pie Ranch on Año Nuevo Point!
Amah Mutsun Land Trust and Pie Ranch have partnered to create a Native Garden honoring the legacy of local plants tended and used by the Quiroste Tribe on Año Nuevo Point. The garden has four sections, each with a theme related to cultural uses of local native plants, as well as a living fence of willows.
We are in the the process of renewing the Native Garden, and seeking volunteers to assist with a range of typical garden maintenance tasks, such as weeding, pruning, mulching, transplanting, etc. At the beginning of the event, we will spend some time sharing information about the Native Garden, Amah Mutsun Land Trust, and Amah Mutsun's partnership with Pie Ranch. We will then spend the rest of the time working on the garden. Click here for event details.
