Today's open house at the beautiful and historic Castro Adobe focuses on the families who stewarded the property during the 1900s, living and working there, and doing some restoration, and ultimately preparing the way for the Castro Adobe State Historic Park. This is an active construction site that is only open during special events, so join up with some friends, hop on Highway 1 and take the Buena Vista exit toward Larkin Valley Road for a fascinating trip back in time.
