It's all fun and games until you get lost. This mantra applies to every outdoor activity, so whether you sail, hike or bike, knowing where you are is an important skill to master. Join State Park interpreter Sarah for a no-experience-necessary lesson on orienteering at Forest of Nisene Marks (I don't think we'd mind getting lost at this pretty park though). In order to learn how to orientate yourself, you'll need to trek, so bring along comfortable walking shoes. A compass will also come in handy, of course, so bring it if you have it.
Forest of Nisene Marks. 2:30 pm. Free. Meet at Entrance Station parking area.
