While the stated focus is climate change, this rally is also designed to let the world know that, according to SCCAN, "Donald Trump is a threat to the future of our planet, the safety of our communities, and the health of our families." Truth.
To ward off cynicism about all elected officials, two of our best, both longtime fighters for our environment and community, will be on the podium: that's Fred Keeley and Mark Stone.
To smarten things up further, also speaking will be UCSC professor TJ Demos, author of the 2016 book "Decolonizing Nature: Contemporary Art and the Politics of Ecology."
