Marc Shargel will tie his interests of writing, photographing and historicizing together at an upcoming lecture featuring the local marine ecosystem at the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center Santa Cruz. Save Our Shores and the Sanctuary Exploration Center welcome Shargel to speak on the history of the sanctuary and share his new book, "Yesterday's Ocean: A History of the Marine Life on California's Central Coast." A book signing will be held after the event. From 5:30-6:30pm refreshments will be served and patrons can learn about volunteering opportunities with both hosting organizations.
