Planting and Wool Day

Date:

Sat, 04/16/2016 - 11:00

Wilder Ranch State Park invites you to plant organic heirloom vegetables in their garden. Help them bring this garden to life in order to recreate an authentic 1900 dairy ranch atmosphere. Children who help plant seeds can bring home their own heirloom bean. Throughout the day there will be living history demonstrations, sheep shearing and wool spinning. Don't forget gardening gloves and a hat. Snacks, drinks, tools and seedlings will be provided. All ages welcome.

Wilder Ranch State Park. 1401 Coast Road (off Highway 1), Santa Cruz. 11am-3pm. Free event, vehicle parking $10. Questions, call: (831) 426-0505.
