Last time the Coastal Watershed Council and the City of Santa Cruz teamed up to sponsor a day of paddling on the San Lorenzo River, the 50 spaces got snapped up within days. However, the San Lorenzo River Paddle series is back again, this time to stay throughout the summer. CWC and the City are planning events July 12, August 9 and September 13. Bring your own watercraft, be it canoe, kayak, SUP or rowboat (sorry, no innertubes); bring a lifejacket and a whistle and you're golden. RSVP ahead of time to secure your spot.
