Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche performs the drum kit opera Illimaq ("Spirit Journeys") by famed contemporary Alaskan composer John Luther Adams. Adams, who is hailed as one of the most original composers working today, takes his inspiration from the sounds of the northern landscape. Bing Concert Hall, Stanford University, 8pm.
