Most of the world's great cities have a river (or two) running through them. Why not give the San Lorenzo River some love? The Coastal Watershed Council and the City of Santa Cruz are teaming up for today's River Paddle, a chance to experience the river in some way other than as a bridge crossing. Rowboats, kayaks, canoes, SUPs—all are welcome for an event celebrating the river that runs through us. Heh. Bring your own watercraft, personal floatation device and whistle; you'll sign a waiver and then it's off to Floatsville!
Sign up soon—there are limited spaces available. Attendees will be apprised as the day approaches of where to put in. RSVP by calling CWC at (831) 464-9200 or by emailing tours@coastal-watershed.org. The deadline to register is Tuesday, October 8.
San Lorenzo Riverbank (place TBD), 1-4pm. Free, but space is limited.
