Sanctuary Speaker Series: Marine Debris Education and Art

Date:

Fri, 04/01/2016 - 16:00

Marine debris is a big problem; sea critters get tangled and poisoned by plastic left on the beach. That's why world-renowned environmental artist Lee Lee founded Debris Project, a movement to bring awareness to plastic pollution through collaborative art. This First Friday, come see (and add to!) a community art installation, see students' art work, and listen to Lee Lee's talk on ocean debris. We can't think of a better way to show up for a cause while having a good time. There will also be complementary food and drinks. Event hosted by Save Our Shores.

Sanctuary Exploration Center. 35 Pacific Ave, Santa Cruz. Open house 4pm-8pm. Lee Lee's talk 6-7pm. Free but donations suggested.
