Attention astronomy aficionados! Have you ever wanted a mountain-top observatory all to yourself? Here’s your chance. Lick Observatory offers five summer nights (July 20th, August 3rd, 17th, 31st, and September 21st) during which groups of 20-30 can reserve the grounds for evening observation. The program, “Saturday Stars,” allows amateur astronomers glimpses through the 36-inch Lick Refractor and the 40-inch Nickel Reflector. The going rate for reserving an observatory is $1000 for up to 30 people.
