Sausagefest 2013

Date:

Sat, 09/28/2013 - 16:00

"Drink a beer, save a park"—our rallying cry for Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing's Thank You Thursday benefit for Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks—was great. But "Save a park with pork" might be even better. This year's Sausagefest—brought to you by SCMB, a small army of artisinal local foodies and SF punk polka outfit Polkacide—has all the makings of a rip-roaring good time: handmade sausages, homemade relishes and sauerkraut, ice cream, a river of fresh beer and a tuba. Once again, proceeds benefit the Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks, your friendly state parks operators-in-lieu-of-a-functioning-state-budget.

Westside Santa Cruz Farmers Market lot, Mission St Extension at Natural Bridges; 4-7pm; $5 to get in. Kids and dogs welcome!
