School Bike & Walk Volunteer Workshop

Date:

Tue, 08/19/2014 - 18:30

One of the best ways to change the world is to help the small fry develop eco-friendly habits. Volunteering to make biking and walking to school safer for kids fits the bill. Join Ecology Action this evening in a workshop where you'll learn about national, statewide and local Safe Routes to School efforts and get to know the biking and walking safety programs in the Santa Cruz County school system. You'll be well on your way to getting one of those flash neon vests and maybe a giant orange hand—and, for tonight, dinner. Pretty good schwag for just helping make the world a better place.

Ecology Action, 877 Cedar St, Santa Cruz. 6:30-8:30pm. Free. RSVP to jwerner@ecoact.org or call (831) 515-1311. More info at www.saferoutessantacruz.org.
