In a talk subtitled: "How Human Activity is Changing the Shape of Life," Eric Palkovacs of the UCSC Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department will discuss human impact on freshwater and marine ecosystems in this age of intense change. The Anthropocene, of course, is the current geological age, in which human activity is the dominant influence on our environment. Doors open at 12:30; no late or reserved seating.
