Marc Mangel, director of the Center for Stock Assessment Research at UCSC, leads a compelling discussion of using science as the foundation to interpret international law. Mangel discusses his involvement in the March 2014 International Court of Justice ruling that has effectively ended Japan’s killing of almost 1,000 whales a year (a win for whales and for science).
