A coral reef is the product of chemical interplay between microorganisms and the contents of the environment. So is beer. Come enjoy both beer and coral at this month’s Science on Tap, where UC Santa Cruz biogeochemist Adina Paytan will discuss the unique coral species she studies off the coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.
