UCSC Women in Science and Engineering is a student-run group eager to tell you all about the science that's going on just up the hill. This month's talk will cover the UC Santa Cruz Younger Lagoon Reserve. The Reserve is used as a living classroom but what was it before it was protected? What's going on there now? And what will YLR face in the future? Find out tonight in a talk hosted by the manager of the reserve, Elizabeth Howard! The talk isn't just for scientists; it's intended to appeal to the whole community. The Crepe Place will be hosting the event on it's outdoor patio. The night time event is quite popular, so be sure to reserve a table with the Crepe Place and dress warm.
The Crepe Place, 1134 Soquel Ave., Santa Cruz. 8pm. Free.
