Sea Otter Awareness Week

The last week of September commemorates Sea Otter Awareness Week. The Seymour Center will be hosting a talk titled, Sea Otter Survival Story: How Lawsuits and Oil Spills Have Replaced Spears and Guns. Kim Steinhardt, a former administrative law judge, will lead this special presentation on how the sea otter population dropped to 3,000 individuals and what the future holds for these furry sea critters.

Seymour Marine Discovery Center, 100 Shaffer Rd., Santa Cruz. 7pm. Free.
