Women riders looking to expand skills: Shine Riders of Santa Cruz and Girls Gone Wilder are teaming up for a beginner's pump track clinic! The mellow, one-hour clinic will cover basics like body positioning and getting the wheels off the ground and will be led by downhiller and 20-year mountain biking maven Joh Rathbun. We'll follow the session with some ride time to seal in the goodness of the clinic.
Says Joh: “Please bring enough water and food for a few hours. Helmets, knee pads, elbow guards and flat pedals are required. Also, let us know if you have the passion, but only some of the equipment, and we'll find you what you need. With this being an open track to the public, be prepared to learn 'line-up' etiquette in real time."
Space is limited to 10 women! RSVP at the Shine Riders SC Meetup page.
