Skyline-to-Sea: One Night Guided Trek

Travel from majestic ridge lines, to ancient redwood forests, to golden sandy shores with a team of California State Park naturalists. The State Park's are unveiling a brand new guided backpacking trip and you could be on the first of it's kind in California. This backcountry escape will be a time for growth and learning as your guides teach you about the natural history of the lands you traverse. You'll learn about the peoples who lived there for centuries while soaking in the natural beauty of the world around you.

The second trip will be later in August

The first trip will be a one night, two day trip from Big Basin Redwoods State Park to Waddell Beach. The trip will take place August 1-2 but there is a mandatory meeting July 13, 2015 from 6:30pm-8pm. This trip will be $80.

Your hike will begin at Jay Camp in Big Basin Redwoods State park and arrive at Waddell Beach via the Skyline to Sea Trail. This trip is about 13 miles long with a net elevation change of 1,000 feet. However, the group will not be hiking more than 8 miles a day. No children under 13 allowed and all must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. You will be required to organize your own transportation for both drop off and pick up.
