How much do you know about snakes? Do you know how they see, smell, taste or hear? What do their scales feel like? What role do they play in our ecosystem? If you’re curious about the world of snakes, this is the event for you. Under the towering redwoods of Big Basin State Park, Docent Diane Shaw will teach you all about these slithering critters. She will be at the Old Lodge (across the street from the Nature Lodge/Museum), and you can stop by anytime from 12-3pm to ask questions or wave to the snakes, although they can’t wave back.
Big Basin State Park. 12-3pm. Free, but parking will cost $10.
