Star Creek Ranch Adventures

Date:

Sat, 05/07/2016 - 09:00

The annual day-in-paradise known as Star Creek Ranch Adventures is back—and this time humankind's best friend is welcome, too. Once again the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County is opening the Star Creek Ranch to members for a 9-to-5 day of hiking, mountain biking and now dog-walking in a biodiverse swath of land marked by grasslands, redwood forests, oaks and stupendous views. It's a great place for picnics, and a shuttle will ferry you from the lowlands to the heights if that's how you roll. Members can bring guests, too—as many as will fit in a vehicle.

The 1200-acre slice of heaven in the Pajaro Hills is a critical wildlife corridor and urban buffer and was a coup for the Land Trust when it bought the property back in 2012. It's open to the public only during Star Creek Ranch Adventures. Read about the first Star Creek Ranch Adventure Day in 2014.

Star Creek Ranch, 9am-5pm. Free for members; RSVP to Land Trust; tickets are required. Not a member of the Land Trust? Becoming one is easy: just donate!
