The Jay Moriarity Memorial paddleboard race gets better every year, and its 13th year is no exception. Paddle your heart out in honor and remembrance of Jay Moriarity all while enjoying the beautiful views of Monterey Bay. All proceeds will go to Santa Cruz County Junior Lifeguard Programs to purchase paddleboards and to provide scholarships in Jay’s name. Participants get a goodie bag, t-shirt, race jersey (long course only), Peet’s coffee, Clif Bars and other swag. If the family-friendly atmosphere and challenging course isn't enough, there will be an awesome raffle featuring items such as surfboards, paddleboards and wetsuits.
Saturday, June 21. 8:00am. Capitola Beach. Click here to register. Pre-registration fees are $65.00 for the 12 mile race, $30.00 for the 2 mile race, $50.00 for the Waterman Challenge and kids races are free. Online registration closes Friday, June 20, 2014 at 12:00 PM.
