As the sun goes down, the trees at Big Basin State Park come alive with the chatter and movement of the local critters. Park docent Norm Beeson will guide the easy-going stroll through the woods, giving you a chance to see the nocturnal ones awake. This half-mile walk will last for 1.5 hours and is perfect for the whole family (minus the dog…no dogs are allowed at the park). This hike will also be wheelchair/stroller accessible. Bring a flashlight to aid your peepers in the darkness.
Big Basin State Park. 6pm. Free, but parking will cost $10. Meet at Park Headquarters. Call 831.338.8883 for any questions.
