Since 2012 Velo Femme has been leading friendly women's road rides on a regular basis, and now they're taking the no-drop party to the hills. This week VF trades the asphalt and slicks for dirt and knobbies, pedaling into the wild with skilled mountain bike maven Alyse Weyman (pictured charging at De Laveaga) in the lead. Same spirit, different venue. Come out and have fun! This week it's to Pogonip and into UCSC.
Says Weyman of this week's ride: "Exact route depends on who shows up ... The ride is intended for intermediate level riders but even getting novice-level lady riders out on the Emma McCrary Trail would be a postive: the more ladies on bikes the better, for us and our community."
Sounds like fun.
