Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks is looking for a few good weed warriors to defend Moore Creek from hordes of invasive plants. Must be clad in long pants and gloves and merciless in the fight against broom, ivy, periwinkle, pampas grass and their nefarious ilk. Join this work day and save the monarch butterflies, tidewater goby and Ohlone tiger beetles of Moore Creek! No dogs, please.
Volunteers will receive a snack, entry in a raffle, a coupon for the Friends of Santa Cruz State Park Store and, later that evening, the sound sleep of the righteous.
