Like the idea of being able to put in your kayak or SUP beneath the shadow of the Log Flume and paddle up the San Lorenzo River to the Water Street bridge and back? We do too—and a joint effort between the Coastal Watershed Council and the City of Santa Cruz could make it a reality. The City Council is expected to direct staff at this Tuesday's meeting to revisit the ordinance that forbids paddling on the river. Wear your personal flotation device to the council meeting to show your support for this idea. Learn more about the effort to take back the river at The San Lorenzo River Project.
