This event features 13 films about conservation, wilderness, adventure, and the great outdoors. Sit back and watch some amazing films and listen to guest speakers such educator and ecologist Nikki Nedeff or award-winning filmmaker Sinuhe Xavier.
All proceeds will benefit the Ventana Wilderness Alliance and wilderness stewardship work (think trail maintenance and Leave No Trace training) in the Big Sur backcountry. Drawn, the feature presentation, is an inspiring story of one man's search for meaning and adventure and his drawings that captured the meaningful moments on his travels all across the globe.
Brilliant Darkness, a tale of firefly conservation in Japan and the U.S. and an exploration of the importance of nighttime in animal biology and life cycles.
Teton Hooping Contingency, a cheerful documentary that aims to spread the word about high-altitude hula hooping. Climb a mountain and hoop on the peak: what could be more fun?
