Independence Day at Wilder Ranch

Date:

Thu, 07/04/2013 - 11:00

Travel back in time, don a period ensemble and snack on hand-cranked ice cream while enjoying Wilder Ranch’s historically accurate celebration of Independence Day, 1912-style. The park’s buildings (some over 110 years old) lend ambience to the holiday, as children can play lawn games while adults partake in delicious foods and listen to live music. Docents will demonstrate how ranch workers once maintained the grounds. Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade- just bring your own noisemaker and decorated wagon!

Wilder Ranch State Park, Santa Cruz. 11am-4pm. Free, but parking costs $10. 831.426.0505.
