The UCSC Arboretum and the California Native Plant Society team up on this annual extravaganza of a plant sale, heavy on the natives and the drought-tolerant members of the plant kingdom. Typically, from 10am til noon it's members only, then they open the doors wide from noon til 4pm. Ribes, monkeyflower, manzanita, lavender: your inner gardener will be doing back flips, even if you didn't know you had one.
UCSC Arboretum Eucalyptus Grove; entrance off Empire Grade. Cash and checks accepted.
